Major constraints in the implementation of the Project |
- Limited and erratic rainfall in targeted areas.
- Insufficient labour availability, especially during peak seasons.
- Scarcity of raw materials (inadequate local availability of sand, rubble etc.)
- Accessibility problems –(difficult terrain and non motorable interior roads)
- Absentee landlords - (non-availability of land)
- Low literacy rate (overall 49 %, tribal 38%)
- In-effective co-ordination among various developmental agencies.
