Major constraints in the implementation of the Project
  • Limited and erratic rainfall in targeted areas.
  • Insufficient labour availability, especially during peak seasons.
  • Scarcity of raw materials (inadequate local availability of sand, rubble etc.)
  • Accessibility problems –(difficult terrain and non motorable interior roads)
  • Absentee landlords - (non-availability of land)
  • Low literacy rate (overall 49 %, tribal 38%)
  • In-effective co-ordination among various developmental agencies.
